The Hoi Polloi are to produce the music score for Violent Tom.
From music production partnership Hyatt & Robinson come’s the original and enigmatic soundtrack for "Violent Tom".
Responsible for hits in British dance scenes since the 90"s they stormed the House charts in 1999 with the smash "Got Myself Together". The duo are also credited in music circles for spawning a music genre itself- Grime/Broken Beat and changing the face of underground production in the UK with the hit "Hungry Tiger".
Their latest project, up and coming band The Hoi Polloi is a striking balance. The album mixes everything from Rock to Reggae to UK dance back to Psychedelia, bringing a beguiling new sound to the world’s landscape.
Born out of a love for all British music scenes The Hoi Polloi have a refreshing sound epitomized by their uncompromising production style and subjects expressed in their lyrics and loyalty to sing in their natural accents.
They were approached by Martin Thomas at a gig after performing a track from their premier album "Straight from the Hip". Goliath Productions Director Martin J Thomas was excited about the potential of the group and tried to find a description for the type of sound they had created, calling it "Dirty Pop". He subsequently invited them to produce the Score for his new project, Violent Tom.
Hyatt & Robinson were so impressed with the script that they produced and delivered 9 samples within days of receiving it.
The music by The Hoi Polloi is a product of attitudes and fundamental formulas of British music, which creates an acceptance from both underground and commercial audiences. Their vocals are personal and reflect a reality for the majority of people.
Great bands balance these apparent opposites creating an experience that is both unique and unforgettable.
What the listener hears and feels is in harmony, the reward is total involvement. A level of engagement that truly stimulates senses and reignites the passion.
