Below, 'THE LOST ANGELS' SYNOPSIS...

Everything you were told about Heaven and Hell was true, until The Pearly Gates of Heaven and The Gates of Hell were destroyed!

Imagine you're dead, and you wake up in Purgatory to find that The Pearly Gates of Heaven and The Gates of Hell have both been destroyed! This is the premise of the Supernatural drama WELCOME TO PURGATORY. The series follows 5 characters – TAYLOR, WILLIS, DANNI, GUARDIAN PAUL and NINA – as they navigate this new version of the Afterlife.

They find Purgatory in the state it’s in because in the ongoing war between Good and Evil, the protector of Heaven, Archangel Raphael, becomes disillusioned and subsequently compromises the security of Heaven. In his absence, a group of fallen Angels who work for Lucifer attack Heaven and The Pearly Gates are destroyed, leaving Heaven in ruins. Fuelled by rage, Archangel Raphael makes it his personal mission to attack Hell, which he promptly does.

With The Pearly Gates of Heaven and The Gates of Hell now both destroyed, all manner of Heavenly and Hellish creatures, Angels, Saints, Souls, Demons, and Shaitans run free within the middle-ground.

With Purgatory being in such disarray, our 5 main characters go in search of the elusive Holy Temple, God’s very own domain. But just because they are already dead doesn’t mean they cannot feel pain or be killed again. All the rules of the Afterlife have been broken, both pain and pleasure can be experienced, and death here may not be final, but it leads directly to the Seventh Circle of Hell, Lucifer’s very own domain.
